The site was previously used for automotive repairs. Other nearby parks are primarily for active recreation and offer no opportunity for reflection, which makes this a unique resource for the community.

A healing space at the ancient headwaters of the Piney Branch tributary of Rock Creek.

Neighbours have already begun the reclamation, planting fruit trees among other additions.
