What happens here

The space is a favourite among local Eastport residents and among visitors who happen to look down the street and see a park waiting for them. The only sounds are those of nature.

HOW IT CAME TO BE

Small, and it doesn't matter.

01

The Need

A street end in Eastport, with a view of the Chesapeake Bay going unused.

02

The Vision

The park is tucked discreetly at the end of a walkway that leads naturally into it.

03

The Transformation

The Sacred Place is filled with plants and holds a view of the Bay. Though it is a small space, the source is direct about the effect: the serenity of sitting on the bench and getting lost in the view is just as powerful as acres of green space.
