HOW IT CAME TO BE

The sculptures keep changing.

01

The Need

The site was once a vacant city park in the heart of Baltimore.

02

The Vision

Young people created the sculpture garden to voice their own thoughts and ideas. The park strives to be inclusive of all members of its community, holding both youth-led sculpture work and programming for older residents.

03

The Transformation

The park now provides greenery alongside exercise and playtime equipment. The sculptures included in the garden are changed over time, which is what keeps the space evolving rather than fixed.
