Jubilee Arts offers programs in dance, visual arts, creative writing, and ceramics, in partnership with the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore Clayworks, and area artists, writers, and dancers.
HOW IT CAME TO BE
Bringing the arts back to the Avenue.

The Need
Pennsylvania Avenue has a rich history of African-American culture. Jubilee Arts exists to help bring the arts back to life in the Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The Vision
The garden is one of many points of service and care within Intersection of Change, which provides programs enriching the economic, social, and spiritual lives of people dealing with poverty-related issues in west Baltimore.

The Transformation
The site holds a green space with fruit trees, sculptures, a mural, and a performance stage.
