HOW IT CAME TO BE

The volunteers did it.

01

The Need

The park was overgrown and neglected, and a space on it was being used for storage.

02

The Vision

Volunteers and operations staff of the museum set out to make it a safe and beautiful waterfront park for the Annapolis community.

03

The Transformation

The storage space is now a clean, comfortable environmental education centre with two classrooms, updated facilities, and a green roof that adds a layer of vegetation in an otherwise urban environment, reducing both stormwater runoff and the urban heat island effect.
